From Samples to Full Bottles: My Favorite Fragrances by Tom Ford, Versace, and Kenzo
Often, in cosmetics and perfumery stores, along with purchases, we are offered samples of goods, whether it is a cream or a new fragrance. We look at these probes with interest at home, use them and decide whether to buy this product or not.
It often happens to me that some samples then encourage me to buy the fragrance in full. If we talk about me, then after using some samples, I can buy the product. If we are talking about a cream, then I first look at its composition. It happens that the cream is very expensive, but after looking at the composition, I understand that not only will I not buy it, but I will not even use the probe, despite the advertising and positive reviews.
As for perfumery, I look at the composition of the perfume composition after I have tried this or that fragrance on myself. Sometimes it is interesting to solve the riddle: what is mixed in this bottle that emits such a wonderful fragrance? With some probes, I did just that: I got my hands on some kind of probe, I applied it to the skin. Sometimes the fragrance faded quickly, and I even forgot that I had applied some kind of fragrance, I did not remember it, and so on. And some samples made me think about buying a perfume in the full version.
Today I will tell you about three samples that I came across, and which of these three options I eventually bought.
The first sample I came across was the so–called "Lost Cherry". This fragrance will appeal to those who love cherries, fruity fillings, fruity notes and persistent aromas. Despite the fact that I like floral arrangements more, this fragrance can be called floral with an admixture of oriental notes. There are almonds, rose, plum, my favorite jasmine, sandalwood, white cedar, cinnamon, patchouli and vanilla.
As you know, I love jasmine, and he is here with rose. The fragrance is complemented by notes that make it rich and bright. It is very persistent and memorable, and definitely not like other flavors. An analogue of this perfume is unlikely to be found among similar ones, but at least it will definitely not be so multifaceted and beautiful.
I bought the full version of this perfume and rarely use it, because the price of this eau de toilette is quite high. But every time I use it, I understand what positive energy this fragrance carries. I definitely recommend getting to know this perfume to those who don't know about it yet. The fragrance has been around since 2018 and can be called quite young and modern.
Another interesting fragrance is Versace Bright Crystal 2006. I came across a sample of this fragrance a long time ago, and I just remembered it in today's article as something that I remembered externally, but was not impressed by its functions.
The Versace Bright Crystal fragrance is certainly very famous and has probably already become a classic. Despite the fact that many years have passed, he is still on sale, and if this is happening, then he probably has a lot of fans. The fragrance itself seemed to me too subtle, unstable and forgettable. It is the same as many other fragrances – quite simple in composition, delicate and very transparent. I didn't feel any history in him, no associations. The fragrance quickly faded away, and therefore I did not want to buy it.
Although it has been a long time since then, perhaps I need to get to know this fragrance again. It happens that some fragrance does not take root on my shelf, but then you start to look at it in a different way, from the perspective of a new experience, and it can open up from the other side. That's how it was with the Kenzo fragrance: at first I didn't like it, but later I rediscovered it.
But it was the fragrance from Versace that I did not buy after the sample ended and did not feel such a desire. Perhaps this is a favorite fragrance for someone. This happens – that's why there is such a large assortment on the market so that everyone can find something interesting for themselves.
Flower Ikebana by Kenzo And finally, the third sample, which I will talk about today, is a fairly new fragrance from 2023, Flower Ikebana by Kenzo. I can't say that this floral line from Kenzo, which has been reprinted and reissued for many years, repeats one another. I would say that these are some kind of separate versions of the Kenzo flower series. That is, the bottles may be similar, but the composition of the perfume inside the bottle will be individual. I would recommend that you familiarize yourself with the perfume in the store before buying and choose for yourself which version of the flower series suits you.
If we talk specifically about Flower Ikebana by Kenzo, then for me it is such a floral bouquet that has a cherry in it. It is not as bright as in the first version of today's article, but it is also quite clearly heard in the fragrance and gives a tart sweet fleur to the floral bouquet. To be honest, after the sample, I bought myself two versions of this flower series from Kenzo. I remember and liked the fragrance from this sample so much that I think this is not my last purchase.
Before that, I didn't have a single perfume from this brand, but today I have two, and I am very happy about it. Maybe my mood or taste has changed, but not really, because Lancome remains my favorite brand. However, I allow other compositions to enter my life and decorate my table, because the mood changes, and tastes can also change. Therefore, I suggest you pay attention to these three compositions next time in the store, and especially to the new version from Kenzo.
